Our RV is a 2019 Leisure Travel Van Unity Twin Bed. It is built on the Mercedes cutaway Sprinter 3500 chassis. It is 25 feet long with no slide-outs.
The main reason we chose the Twin Bed model was the ability to separate the interior into two distinct areas and the beds can be reached without climbing over the other person. The wood door in front of the shower can be opened which separates the galley/living room from the bedroom. Also with the Twin Bed model, there are storage cabinets above and under the beds
The unit is small enough so we can go places larger RVs cannot, including National Forests, BLM lands and the Army Corps of Engineers.
It really drives like a big SUV and Bobbi has no problem.
Being lighter and shorter than most RVs, we can even drive on the sand at White Sands New Mexico.
With the ability of the cab front seats to rotate, we can seat four for dinner.
And the twin beds are Luna approved.
We chose Leisure Travel Van for their reputation for quality of construction and customer service. The company is located in Winkler, Canada which is a small Mennonite community. There are many instances of LTV doing it better. For example most RVs or Trailers are built with 2"x3" wood studs with the wallboards stapled on. LTV uses welded aircraft grade aluminum with foam insulation between the members.
The walls are vacuum bonded so shaking down the road doesn't cause separation.
Most other manufacturers staple their wood cabinets. LTV drills and then screws to help ensure a tight fit.
Our favorite campgrounds are the Army Corps of Engineers, National Forest and State Parks. The Corps campgrounds are typically located on lakes that the Corps created with dams in the 1930s. The sites are wide, clean and only $12.00 a night.
We almost always are on a large lake with a great view
and 4 legged neighbors.
Nothing can beat a s'more over an open fire.
And we never get tired of the sunsets.
